I forget if they mention it in the dub but Bakugos match took less than 5 minutes

Bakugo has used those support item grenades before. During the license exams, he gave one to Kaminari when Kirishima and Bakugo got turned into little meat potatoes by that one guy’s meat massage quirk, or whatever it’s called.
As for why he’d carry them outside of teamwork, they’d be useful for distractions, especially since any opponent that knows him would never expect such a tactic.
