This episode gave me nightmares as a kid. Great times.
Even though the camera pans out to see Robin being “moved” by “Slade”s punches, I think that’s an overlay of Robin’s and the Titan’s POV. My understanding of this psychosis is that it sort of works backwards. People get the injuries then their broken mind fills in what must have happened. I just think we’re seeing Robin explain away his surroundings in real time.
Freaked me out as a kid. Couldn’t sleep.
Aaron called everything: Slave wasn’t real, mask caused it, and most importantly GOOSE.
