I love this movie SO much (definitely in my top 5 comic boom films). It’s dumb, but you can tell Serkis & Hardy wanted it to be. Carnage & Shriek are great villains, and Venom & Eddie are one of the best comic book couples in cinema
Man, y’all need to read up on some more Venom comics lol. He’s not always constantly attached to Spider-Man or even has Spider-Man involved in his stories. Specifically, the Lethal Protector series these movies are loosely based on that include multiple symbiotes and a Venom not really connected with Spider-Man.
The “Eric! Eric! Do you know what good food looks like?” and what followed after had me laughing so hard. That is up there for one of my favorite Blind Wave moments. Not just this year but ever.
The spiderman tie in doesnt work only if stranges spell worked, if his spell didnt do what it was supposed to, then no one forgets and even more people who know show up. Like a backfire of the spell would pull people who know into this universe maybe?

When venom and eddie are talking they discuss about the symbiotes universal travel ability and knowledge of other places. Id say its possible that this could be the exact same symbiote from spiderman 3 if thats the case. Could also be why Eddie is the only one to make it work properly too

Mcu spiderman is trash, I hope Sony makes their own spiderman movies that will make people forget the trash Disney made for spiderman.
